Welcome back! I have found yet another hidden gem in downtown Asheville that I immediately fell in love with and knew I had to share with you.
C&Co is a handcrafted skincare brand designed to protect against toxins and environmental factors without using harsh chemicals. All C&Co products are formulated using plant-based raw organic ingredients such as honey, witch hazel, lavender, and dozens of essential oils.
As soon as I walked into the storefront, I was overwhelmed (in a good way) by the aroma of lavender and peppermint–two ingredients common in C&Co body products. The store itself is divided into sections for face, body, shaving, and home products. They have everything from skincare and face masks to homemade soaps, candles, and bath salts.
I was immediately drawn to the skin care section and decided to grab the Daily Face Polish, Sweet Orange and Rose Facial Toner, and the Chamomile and Oats Clay Facial Mask. But there are tons of other skincare products such as their cleansing milk, their cold cream, and their serum.
C&Co has a very high standard in regards to their ingredients. All of their products are made in the USA and are made without fillers, GMOs, synthetic preservatives, petrochemicals, and detergents. The brand itself is Leaping Bunny certified animal cruelty free and living wage certified.
As for the products themselves, I am very happy with everything I have used from C&Co so far. The Daily Face Polish is $22, the Facial Toner is $18, and the Chamomile and Oats Mask is $28. I have found everything to be worth the money I spent on them. It is even better that the ingredients inside of them are non-toxic.
After finding C&Co, I realized that the products I had previously used that were intended to better my skin may have been doing the exact opposite. It is very common to find the same chemicals in skincare products that you see in products like brake fluid, engine degreasers, and antifreeze. Harsh chemicals that are common in skincare products such as fragrance, parabens, phthalates, and synthetic dyes might be causing your problems, not fixing them. They commonly cause irritation, allergic reactions, and sensitivity. Think about it. Would you ever rub brake fluid on your face? Probably not.
I am so glad to have found C&Co this month, and I hope you enjoyed hearing about it, or even check it out for yourself. I also hope to see you next month to discover another hidden gem in the Asheville area!
