We all know Valentine’s Day is around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with deserts!!!
Why not go to a cute little local place to get a treat with your boo. The perfect place that knocks everything out of the park is Baked Pie Company. Baked is semi new to the area but soon, maybe even already, will top the charts as a dessert cafe.
Baked has every pie you could dream of: chocolate, blueberry, key lime, lemon, you get the idea. When you walk in, you are greeted with a nice homey vibe. Everyone has a smile on their face and the decor is just the right amount of artsy. The two cases are filled with pies on top of pies. The sight alone will get your mouth watering.
When you order, you can get a slice, a whole pie, or as a hard core pie lover, I can tell you a flight is the way to go if your looking for a quick delicious snack. With a flight, you can choose three slices of any mouthwatering flavor, and maybe a scoop of ice cream.
Baked is located on Long Shoals Road right near TC, so it’s not too far and is a great place for hangouts and dates. They are open from 10am-8pm, so make sure to stop in.
If you’re not a pie lover, Asheville has no shortage of local chocolate and ice cream shops to visit.
If you’re a chocolate lover, the first stop you should make is French Broad Chocolate Lounge. Walking in there is like walking into a cocoa wonderland. Located downtown, getting a treat and doing something fun has never been easier, making this another perfect date spot.
Downtown has an abundance of dessert shops so here’s a list to help make your search a little easier.
- Double D’s Coffee and Desserts
- Old Europe
- Twisted Crepe
- Tod’s Tasties
- True Confections
- Marble Slab Creamery
- Sunshine Sammies
- Duck Donuts
Eating local is a good way to give back to your community, so start going local more and ditch the chains.
