Hello sunshines! I know I said that my “Why I Consign” blog would be my last for the school year, but after last night I just needed to share, and many of my peers (and mom) said I should too!
Last night my Communications class (Golden Fleece Media) had their awards night. I had already planned on wearing a maxi dress, but I needed to find some shoes ASAP. Per usual I headed over to Lulu’s Consignment with my mom to look for shoes and for my mom to get her store credit from the previous things she had brought in.
We started in clearance but I couldn’t find anything comfortable and appropriate for the occasion. We headed upstairs and found A LOT of shoes, I wasn’t really sure what I was looking for but I ended up stumbling upon a pair of blue wedges/heels that seemed perfect. The dress I was going to wear was a light blue so they would really compliment each other.
My mom wandered over to the dress section to look for herself but ended up shopping for me along the way. We found a lot of dresses, which I ended trying on, but they were not exactly for me. Right when I had gotten completely dressed again my mom came in with a dress that I was not exactly appealled by. I wasn’t really in love with the fabric but my mom had me try it on anyways.
I ended up loving the dress. It was the perfect length and even had pockets (it doesn’t even need to be cute, if it has pockets I am sold).
So in the end I got the perfect outfit for the night and the night itself was really amazing. I got to congratulate many of my peers and send of the seniors off. I was inducted into the Quill and Scroll and received awards for two of my feature stories. I am so proud of my class and all that we have accomplished. And for my house #penforthewin.
Alright, this is ACTUALLY my last blog of the school year, thanks for sticking around!
