Hello my sunshines! Welcome to my last blog of the year! I have really enjoyed sharing my consignment tips and experiences over the school year. This time I am bringing to you a little something about why I choose consignment about 70% of the time, and a quick little one item haul from the other day.
I know I have talked about the benefits of consigning before, but I thought it would be super fun to talk about why I personally choose to do it so often.
The main reason I do is because my mom is a huge enthusiast of consignment, giving away, and selling the things we no longer need on Facebook, or at some other store. There used to be a store where I used to live in Florida that was a consignment store for children’s clothes that my mom went to all the time.
So all in all, I really got it from my mom. I am always with her when she goes to the store and I would always find something I love.
As I continued to go with my mom I really began to see other benefits other than cute clothing and amazing steals. Now every time I am cleaning my room or clearing out my closet I will most likely find clothing and other items that can go in our consignment box in my mom’s room. This box continues to grow as we find things we no longer need or have outgrown.
My favorite thing about consignment is that you don’t really go to find one specific thing. If you do you probably won’t find it. I always go and find the most random things from books, to shoes, to sunglasses and jewelry. Sometimes I leave with nothing in my hands and other times I have a whole basket. Either way, it really is an adventure and I have found it to become a really fun hobby.
While we are here, I thought I would do a quick little update on what I have recently found at the consignment store. A few days ago I went to Lulu’s Consignment and I found so many shoes, but sadly, I did not end up buying any of them. Right before I left the store I went to check out the jewelry and knick-knacks at the front of the store and funny enough I found these sunglasses.
They are really out there and I guess you could say a little Asheville but when I saw these I just had to buy them, I mean they were only $3.50 so I think I needed to. I think I could use these for Halloween or even a throwback spirit day here at Roberson. Who knows maybe they will end up being a daily pair of sunnies for me.
Well, that’s all for today, and for the school year! I have had so much fun and I can’t wait to start writing to you again for my junior year!
