Hey guys! Happy new year, for starters! Lots of things happened, and there’s LOTS of cool things to talk about.
The song I’ve been absolutely obsessed with lately is new music from a band I’ve followed for a while. They’re called The Wombats, and their new song “Turn” is fantastic. The synth-y rock and raw electric guitar is pretty much straight out of any angsty 80’s movie. The song is one of two singles off of their new album, “Pretty People Will Ruin Your Life.” The album is out Feb. 9, and if “Turn” is any indicator, it’s gonna be pretty amazing.
Listen to “Turn” here. (You won’t regret it!)
If anyone knows me, they probably know that I wear lipstick on a VERY rare occasion. But when my ipsy Glam Bag came in for this month, and I got the Raisin + Cream Long Lasting Lip Stain from Seraphine Botanicals, I pretty much died and went to heaven. The pigment is strong, the formula stays creamy all day and NEVER budges. I wear it every day, it’s fantastic.
Get it in 2 colors here.
Call me retro, call me late to the party, but believe you me, the only thing you could find me doing at home is sitting in front of my computer screen watching “Twin Peaks.” “Twin Peaks” is a show first debuted in the 90’s, and follows the murder of a girl in a small Washington state town. The complex characters, the dark and twisted secrets of “Twin Peaks,” the overarching question of “Who killed Laura Palmer?” got me hooked, line and sinker. The show had a mediocre run when it first debuted, but after the end of the second season and eventual cancellation, it became a pop culture phenomenon. Showtime recently picked it up for a third season, called “Twin Peaks: The Return,” and I promise, that does not disappoint either.
Watch “Twin Peaks” on Netflix and “Twin Peaks: The Return” on Showtime.
