Hey guys! I’m back with some more new thrifted looks. I recently went to Ragtime Vintage Clothing, which is located in downtown Asheville. I really enjoyed shopping here because there were a lot more one-of-a-kind pieces to look at. It was definitely a bit on the pricier side, but it was worth it.
Since it’s starting to get warmer these days (but still very unpredictable), I made two outfits, both suitable for any spring weather that there is to come soon. And they’re both super simple and can easily be recreated.
The first piece I bought was the red/white/black Nike windbreaker. I am so in love with this jacket because of the colors and the overall uniqueness of it. I have a few windbreakers, but the shape of this is different from most that I already have. Another thing I really like about this jacket is that it has a removable hood, making it slightly more versatile.
I wore it with this black and white striped top so that it wouldn’t look to plain, but I didn’t want the colors of the windbreaker to look too overbearing or over-the-top. So I think this choice was a happy medium. I knotted my shirt just to add a little extra element to the outfit. Then I also wore blue high-waisted jeans and white Nike sneakers. I think the white sneakers were a good balance and contrast to the overall outfit.
The next two pieces I bought were the denim jacket and the sunglasses. This jacket is actually a vintage Levi’s denim jacket. It’s a little on the heavier side, but it’s still great. It’s great quality and I love it. I knew instantly when I saw it that I would make a splurge over it. The sunglasses are a tan color and they have a sort of marble design going on. They have a very vintage look to them.
I put these two items in the same outfit because I thought the neutral colors really look good together, and they give the whole outfit a very chic, yet simple look. To finish up the outfit, I added the black shirt and white jeans to keep the pattern of neutral colors in the outfit. But then, in order to not let it get too boring, I added bright red socks for a pop of color. The black Vans help keep the whole thing balanced.
